CEE 5561- Advanced Topics in Biological Processes: Environmental Molecular Biotechnology (Fall 2024)
This course focuses on principles of genetics and recombinant DNA for environmental systems. We will cover fundamental techniques applied in environmental contexts, including cloning, electrophoresis, fluorescence in-situ hybridization and hybridization chain reaction, genomics and proteomics, and molecular diagnostics, through lecture and laboratory exercises. Students learn how to use these technologies for applications in bioremediation, environmental management, and water, wastewater, and air pollution treatment.
CEE 3503- Environmental Engineering (Spring 2024)
Application of fundamental chemical, biological, and physical principles of environmental
engineering to design and operation of systems used for water and wastewater treatment, solid
waste management, air pollution control, and analysis of quality of surface water, air, and
groundwater.
CEE 1501- Experiences in Environmental Engineering (Fall 2023)
This seminar style course provides a series of activities that explore the field of environmental engineering. Through completion of the course, students gain fundamental experiences with the skills, knowledge, and attitudes needed to solve the complex environmental problems needing solutions from today’s environmental engineers.
