Planning

What would you take with you if you were leaving your house for a year?  It would likely depend on if you are going to work or play or both.  School would be another sort of planning.

There are packing lists on the web that suggest what to take for business and what to take for backpacking.  These decisions would likely be influenced by the expected weather or climate where you plan to live.  What is available to buy there?  You would not bring certain things that you can buy.

 Will it be different for guys versus gals?  You betcha!

It turns out the gals pack clothes, shoes and nice smelling things.  Girls bring communication devices (computers and phones) and the boys do too.  Women bring sewing kits and tools.  They bring cards and books to pass the time in the evening.

The boys bring toys, no surprise there.  They pack bicycles, a monitor and printers for their women.  Clothes, tents, sleeping bags, a Frisbee, a soccer ball and bicycles.  The guys throw in electrical tape and practical stuff.  Truth is I don’t know what is in the guy’s bags but they surely to bring fewer clothes. 

All in all ten parcels left home, not counting what was hand carried. 

A list of everything we brought and another of what we used would be helpful.
